Final Paycheck in LA

When will the new law that says you may pay the final paycheck for a termed employee on the next regular scheduled payday (or 15 days after term), rather than the 72 hours it is now. This is for the state of Louisiana.

The change to the final paycheck law was introduced by Representative Stelly as House Bill 1295. It was signed by Governor Foster on 6/29/01 and became Act # 1171.
