Can I continue to offer benifits to an employee who wants to reduce his hours by giving him a salaried position with limited hourly requirements?

When you say benefits, are you referring to Medical/dental, etc.? If so, you will need to look at the actual contract for each carrier. There is usually a stiplation that an employees needs to work XYZ hours each week to be eligible for benefits.
