Defined benefit pension plan

Does anyone have experience with a freeze placed on a defined benefit pension plan that does not allow any more accrual benefits? My question is what regs are in place that prevents an age discrimination claim from those that are affected and over 40?

As long as you are placing a hard freeze on all plan participants, this is not a age-related discriminatory practice. Where you would get into trouble is if you only froze the benefits for those age 40 and over and continued to accrue for those younger than age 40.
