I am curious, are any of you taking Monday July 3rd as a holiday?

If so, what industry are you in?

Our doors are open. Anyone wanting to take the day off will have to use PTO or no pay if no PTO left.

We are a paper converter and will be shut down on July 3rd because so many employees wanted vacation. It will be an unpaid day unless they opt to use a vacation day. For more responses see my posting under "Wages & Benefits" on 6/14/06
