PT Employees who work some FT Hours

We offer a complete benefits package to all full-time employees working 35 hours a week or more. We have a couple of employees who are students and have been hired as part-time and do not receive benefits, but during the summer they are working full-time hours. Are we required to offer them benefits during the three months in the summer that they are working full-time?

Our policy is the same as Marc's on this issue. They have to be full time to earn benefits. Part time/part time temporary employees do not get benefits. Our ee handbook breaks down each category and explains the benefits. They still ask after reading it and signing though, so, go figure!
