Paying vacation upon Resignation

Someone recently told me that the law had changed regarding paying employees any unused vacation time when they resign. I have not read that. Is that true? We have offices in Kentucky and Indiana.

The short of it is no (unless past practice/handbook say otherwise) in Kentucky and yes (kind of) in Indiana.
