Financial Planning as a Benefit

We are toying with the idea of offering some financial planning benefits to management staff as a retention tool. Is anyone doing it? What's offered/cost? Have you seen any positive impact?

Thanks.

  • Typically, the broker agency that locates/recommends 401K administrative companies for you is also the company that comes in quarterly or semi-annually and gives updates and individual financial counseling. This really just amounts to your management staff attempting to get the company sugar-tit to pay for their investment advice. It's certainly cheaper than them having to pay for it themselves. But, it should be made available to all plan participants, not just management. Put this idea over in the column headed 'morale busters'.
