Temp. ee goes full time regular ee

Our policy states that a "full time, 40 hrs or more, regular ee, you are eligible for insurance after 90 days. I have a temp ee whom we are putting as full time regular, what date do i use in determining when ee is eligible for insurance? Her original hire date or her full time regular ee date? It seems almost unfair to make her do her 90 days over again?

Interesting note. I have an employee who thought the grass was greener on the other side and left the day before Xmas. She is now coming back and doesn't "understand" why she has to start over again! Duh.
