Deadline for 2003 Section 125 reimbursments

Does anyone know where I can find the deadline date that receipts for 2003 medical and dependent care expenses must be submitted by? Payroll says it's in January; Accounts Payable says it's in April and neither one has any documentation for their cause. Please help.

You would need to look at the plan document for the Section 125 medical spending plan. These vary according to the plan. Usually, the plan allows 30, 60 or 90 days to file claims for the previous plan year.

I agree with looking for the plan document. Each plan should have a summary plan description which would discuss run out periods. Otherwise, if you use an outside administrator, they would know. Our specific plan has a 60 day runout period.
