My question is in regards to storing insurance and health information. I know that the medical records of active employees should be keep in a separate file. My question is, when an employee terminates can you then incorperate the medical file and the personel file?

We had a DOL inspection several years ago where they went through all of our files; active and inactive. We were made to separate all medical files from the files of terminated employees as well as active employees.
