COBRA - Rehire of an employee on a termporary basis

My organization recently let go a number of employees. These employees are receiving Company paid COBRA.
If we rehire an employee for a 1 to 2 month temporary basis after they have had a qualifying event, do we have another qualifying event which would entitle them to another 18 months of COBRA?
