HELP! COBRA Spouse Disability

An employee was terminated on Nov. 26, 2001 and elected family coverage continuation under COBRA. I just received a letter from his spouse along with a copy of the SSA's determination of her disability. The determination is dated May 20, 2002. The SSA determined she became disabled August 27, 1998. Which date should I be using as the "within 60 days of COBRA coverage?"

I need help ASAP!
