New Hire Vacation
I am looking for feedback on what other industries offer in the way of vacation to new hires who are coming in with years of experience, primarily at the management or above level. For example: a new hire at the management level who is bringing 10 or more years of experience to the company. Do most industries start them at the normal vacation amount that all salaried employees have, or are they started at a higher amount based on their prior experience? Also, is there a set vacation policy for these people or is it based on how well they can negotiate the extra vacation? We are looking at our salaried vacation policy and feel we need to make some changes to stay competitive. Any help will be appreciated.
