Drug-Free Workplace Program

Are there any Ohio employers out there who participate in the Drug-Free Workplace Program through the Ohio BWC? If you participate is it worth it? How much work/time does it entail? It looks very complicated and time-consuming to me. We are not a small employer and do not qualify for the EZ program.

Also, does anyone participate in the Transitional Work Program? Same questions for this program too. Thanks.

I can't address the Ohio program but the Tenn. program is well worth any time, effort and or monetary expense associated with it. If for nothing else, the peace of mind that our EEs have knowing that the company cares enough to try and insure that the person working next to them is drug free and alert.

Thanks Popeye. We already have a Drug-Free Workplace Program and also do random testing. The workers comp program looks very time-consuming. Typically how much of a percentage does it save you in workers' comp premium per year?
