Entitled to FMLA ??

If you have a parent in California and a parent in Nevada, who have joint custody of a child, age 10, with the parent in California having physical custody, who is seriously ill and may be unable to care for their child temporarily, would the parent employed in Nevada be eligible for FMLA (have been employed for more than 12 months and has worked more than 1,250 hours) to care for their child in California temporarily, in an effort to cause minimal trauma and change to their childs life?
