Do any of you offer an online "Swap Shop" for employees to post for sale items? If so what are your guidelines? Do employees post themselves or do posts come through HR?
We don't have an online "swap shop" as you call it but we have a bulletin board in our admin offices where employees will post for sale items. We do ask that posts be given to our admin secretary so that there is some degree of control over what is posted, how long its posted, etc. However, people just post for sale items without asking permission but its just never been a big deal or caused any problems.
Much like Paul says... nothing online, but we have a bulletin board in the cafeteria. Ee's can post stuff for one month and all postings have to be approved and initialed by HR. I posted the rules in the corner of the board so all could see them.
If any of you have formal written rules on what is / is not allowed, I would appreciate it if you could post it. We just moved into a new office, and need to come up with a writting policy. Thanks.
