What relations do you include in your non-immediate family members?

3 days - parent, child, grandchild, spouse, brother, sister, spouse's parents, spouse's child by former marriage

1 day - aunt, uncle, grandparent, spouse's brother/sister, or member of extended family living in your home.

All of the ones that have been mentioned above are ones we include as "immediate" family, and we also state that "special consideration will be given to any other person whose association with the employee was similar to any of the above relationships".

We allow up to a full day for cousins, great aunt/uncle (inlcudes spouse's also) great-grandparents. If they are some relative, we usually allow 1 day.
