HR Advice

This is my first post and this probably isn't the correct place to post this but it seems "the place to be" here on the forum.
I have a business acquaintance who owns a small business. The company isn't large enough to hire an HR Manager but it's large enough that she runs into issues from time to time and needs advice. She doesn't want to hire a lawyer or a large consulting firm - just wants someone she can go to with questions and administrative organization types of things.
Are you aware of any companies that provide this service?
Thanks for your help!

We have a place like that here in Topeka. Our local company has very reasonable prices and has lots of training classes, also at reasonable prices. They are very active with the Topeka SHRM chapter and always approachable. I am sure if your friend goes to a local SHRM group someone there can give him/her some leads.
Good luck!

I think going with a local company is the best bet personally.
Also, check your phone book for personnel agencies. They often will handle basic HR functions as well.
Good luck!
Saw you're located in MN, our business broker, Associated Financial, has an HR hotline that you can subscribe to for WI and MN. She may want to check this out.
Don't know if MRA (Management Resources Association) has an office in MN but they do work in IL and WI. We've utilized their services for years - they are very good and less expensive than an attorney.
