Unfortunately, we only get 4th of July as a paid holiday. I would guess, however, that there will be about as much productivity on July 3rd as there was on Dec. 23rd
We will only have the 4th off. As another poster said, the productivity on the 3rd won't be real swell. My guess is that it will be even worse on the 5th.
I'll be on vacation Monday the 3rd. The rest of the company can eat cake that day for all I care. Officially, the 4th is a paid holiday, anyone taking off on Monday will have to use vacation or personal time.
We have 9 holidays. 6 are set each year by us (Corp.) Then each employee has one floating and each of the 9 plants/locations have 2 days they can close. Three of the 9 locations have chosen 7/3 as one of their Office Holidays (in addition to 7/4). Six of the locations will be "open" but I am sure that as time goes on, they may close without pay. We will be closed on July 4 for adminstraative and support funtions, but the operations and production positions will be operating. If required to work on a holiday, and you have worked or been on an "EXCUSED" absences, then you would get the hours worked plus the 8 hours for the given holiday.
We will be closed the 4th officially. But if many more people come to me requesting the 3rd off, we may not have even a skeleton crew to keep operations open on the 3rd. Works for me!
