Offensive Perfume

I have a pregnant employee who is complaining about some perfume and lotion girls are wearing around her. She says it is making her sick to her stomach and causing headaches. We've corrected the situation I believe by moving the pregnant employee to another area. Just out of curiosity though, can you request that the other employees tone down on the perfume and lotion a bit?

Part of our "Appearance and Dress Policy" states "...excessive jewelry is also not appropriate, and perfume and cologne shall not be excessive or overpowering..."

Just curious, has the pregnant ee approached her coworkers and asked them if they could stop wearing lotions and perfumes?

Fragrance sensitivity is an increasing issue and for some people it can rise to the level of an impairment that is disabling.

I think the general trend in workplaces is to ask ee's to limit or not wear cologne, perfume, aftershave, or lotions.
