Yes, they are mentioned in the new regs, but as an exemption. If you're asking if sole owners are allowed to cross examine witnesses and make closing statements without having to drag along an attorney the answer is yes.
Is there any update on this insane regulation in the state of PA? Surely the state's employers are not going to roll over and let this regulation prevail. It certainly would not be embraced or ignored in my state!
Only lawyers are embracing this insanity because they have the most to gain. The UC Board has appealed the decision to the State Supreme Court, which has not yet heard arguments. In addition, the legislature is drafting a law. In the meantime, I'm busy shopping for attorneys who won't gouge us.
