does anyone have a job description for a person who goes out into the community and talks with groups and students on such topics as fire prevention, etc?

What is your industry? You're going to have a person do this as his/her essential function? Can you get someone from the fire department do it?

Check the Oklahoma State University website - they have had a leading fire fighting/prevention school since the early '70's, and used to perform extension work throughout the state. They may be of help.

Check your meto police/fire departments also.

In our town it's the fire marshall who does this. He comes here at least annually and also arranges for our fire extinguisher training and CPR. But I don't have his job description. If you're a municipality in Mississippi I'm sure you could call Madison FD and get a copy.
