I will be conducting a personnel investigation for a major university and would like to know if there are any resources, guidance or websites that I may review for assistance. I am looking for a good format, good questions and etc.

I can't answer without more information either. Please advise: What's your relationship to the employer? What sort of investigation? Who has asked you to investigate? Are you contracted or employed? Have you conducted other investigations of a similar nature? Why were you asked to handle the investigation?

Sorry for the scepticism, but you don't give us much to go on.

Not to sound questioning but to ask a question,
If you do not have expertise in conducting whatever type of investigation this is, how did you get chosen/contracted/elected to do such for a Major University?
