Relocation Packages

Is anybody aware of any resources that I can use to obtain information on relocation packages? What does the typical relocation package offer? Do companies normally use relocation companies or provide employees with a lump sum payment to include all relocation expenses?

I don't know about other organizations, but when we offer a position, part of the offer will be a fixed amount that we will reimburse for moving expenses (not for closing costs on house, etc.). The amount depends on the position and the funds available in the particular budget/program.
