can anyone tell me how long personnel files must be maintained in Arkansas?

you should check for state specific issues with arkansas counsel. for federal law purposes, pay records for at least three years, unsuccessful employment applications at least 6 months, and employment records for former employees at least one year.

Everything I have from a variety of sources says applications should be retained minimum one year. I've never seen the six month retention recommendation before your post. Are you sure about that?

I agree with Don. My "cheat sheet" from gNeil says 1 year and references 29 CFR 1627.3(b)(1)(i)

It should be noted that I have not personally read the applicable law, I am merely transposing.

It is one year retention. My attorney called me on this one when I put six months retention on our applications.
