Ohio Concealed-Carry policy

We are a small city employer. The new concealed-carry law presents some unique challenges for public employers since we do not 'own' our property the way a private company does. Yes, the law prohibits guns in public buildings, but what about parks, parking lots, city vehicles, etc. Does anyone have a good public-employer weapons policy that complies with the new law?

I recommend you punt this one to the city attorney. It's his/her job to draft a policy compliant with Ohio law. Incidentally, because of Ohio's new law, we had to post such a prohibition policy on our boards way down here in Mississippi. It even includes arrows and knives. I used my knife to drive the policy's push pins in the bulletin boards.

Our corporate offices are in Cleveland. Attorneys in our corporate offices and the HR gurus there thought it best to legislate the policy on a broader scale for some reason. I now leave my gun in the ditch out at the property line.

Mayfield Heights, does that count as Cleveland? I've never been there. One of our guys says it's Mentor-On-The-Lake. But the rest say Mayfield.
