Employing over 100 ees

Happy Friday to all. I have been searching the DOL sites and you know what a maze that can be. I was hoping someone would know a direct site that would inform me of regs/laws we need to comply with once you employ more that 100 people. Thanks in advance for any help.

As far as I know, the only significant federal emplyment law that has a threshold for employers with 100 or more employees is WARN -- the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act. Of course, your state may have its on WARN type law that starts with a lower employee count threshold.

Another set of rules with the 100-employee threshold is the Medicare Secondary Payor, for coordination of benefits in health plans.

You also may have to comply with the EEOC and send in the EEO-1 report on an annual basis. More information at:
