records retention/destruction policy

Does anyone have a written policy they would be willing to share. This is one of the few areas where Sarbanes-Oxley affects non-profits and we don't have anything in place yet. My email address is hr1@saum if you have something to fax me. Thanks!

We're fairly deeply involved in Sarbanes-Oxley. I've not heard that the act requires any additional requirements for record retention beyond that which federal and state law already require.

Thanks Don. I guess I'll have to do some research. I am working this from an article our controller gave me from our accounting software firm. The article states "While the new law largely impacts onl publicly traded companies, some sectios do affect nonprofits, including requiremnts for nonprofits to develop written policies relating to the handling of complaints by employees and the destruction of documents."
