NY follows the federal WARN Act with no additional state requirements. But, NY has a program called Worker Adjustment Act (WAA), that includes a rapid response providing services such as emergency readjustment services, labor-management committees, and disseminating ee assistance information. Participating in WAA is strictly voluntary and not directly tied in with WARN.
