Employee Breaks in Michigan

Happy Holidays to ALL! I'm a newbee to this site. Originally posted this query under the help forum. This company has about 45 employees. EE's are generally given paid 10 minute breaks in the morning and afternoon. This "benefit" is not either mandated by Federal or State law, is that an accurate statement? We are non-union and EE's are entitled to a one (1) hour unpaid lunch break during an 8 hour day. This comes up as a result of an EE ststing we ARE required to allow for the break. I disagree, but haven't reviewed the FLSA on this point. Any quick answers?
Thanks for any help. Plus I'll make sure to post in the right area next time.

But in Michigan, there is NO STATE OR FEDERAL statute requiring any breaks to be given, excepting in the case of employing minors. I'm in a private setting - Are you union? Just curious.
Thanks and Happy Holidays
