Fire drills - Need help ASAP

Can someone tell me what the rule is for doing fire drills on work premises. We have several leased office spaces. They are counseling centers. Are fire drills required for all worksites? If so, how often. We have a total of 80 employees and about 6 staff per counseling center.

I would check with your local Fire Department for local codes concerning your "prepardness". Your insurance carrier may also have requirements concerning drills.

I believe OSHA's general duty clause requires annual fire drills. If your centers are licensed by a state agency, they might have a requirement also.

This is correct. The fire department can give you guidance on how to prepare, plan and execute a fire drill, but OSHA mandates their occurance.

or an accrediting body like JCAHO or CARF. I can't remember JCAHO but CARF was quarterly. . .and we did hold them at out lying locations.
