EE Taking Personal Time

I think I know the answer to this one, but would feel more comfortable with the sage advice of the Forumites!
We have a salaried, exempt EE who has no vacation time remaining. She plans to take 3 days off to attend an out-of-town wedding. I'm thinking that we can deduct those days per the FLSA regs, but was hoping that someone out there had already dealt with this and could tell me for certain.
Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Janet, you can deduct one or more FULL DAYS taken for "personal reasons other than sickness". Be careful to only deduct full days. If the employee shows up in the morning for 15 minutes to check voice mail, then leaves to catch the plane, you must pay them for the day.

Thanks for that info. Would this also apply if the EE says she checked her e-mail and/or phone messages from home? I assume the answer is "yes", but it can't hurt to ask!!

If they are not at the workplace, are not ordinarily telecommuting, you do not have to pay them if they check in from home.
