mississippi law uses the term "degrees" of kinship in inheritance matters. probably has the same meaning as "circles". what the policy is trying to say is how close the family relationship must be to invoke the nepotism policy. some employers spell out the kinship required, i.e. parent, child, grandchild, first cousin, in-laws, and on down the line. management clearly understanding what is and is not permitted is the bottom line regardless of the terms used.
