Our increases are based on performance - 2% for satisfactory, 3% for commendable, 4% for outstanding. Each position has a maximum, at which point an employee is redlined. We have no lump sum basis for longevity, and haven't had a COL in years.
  • We also have not had a COL in years. Any incrases we give are based on merit and are determined by the ratings on each EE's evaluation. This year is the least amount in severaly years... only 2% to 2.5% for most everyone.

  • We, also, grant increases strictly on work performance. This year we budgeted 4%. We use the COL increase as a guide to adjust our grade ranges. We had a wage freeze from 4/2001 to 3/2002.
