Retention of Resumes Received via an Internet Search

I was wondering what constitutes resumes that need to be kept for a year.
We use a Internet Search and they send us a notice when they receive a
resume for one of our posts. They keep the resumes on line as long as
the person keeps his/her resume active on that site. But if a person
takes his/her resume down from that site then it is gone completely and
we no longer have a copy of it for our "1 Year" files. If we do not send
a letter or acknolede these resumes at all are we still required to keep
them. (The position was already filled, but we are still receiving resumes
for it from this site.)
Any help would be wonderful.
