The only retaliation policy we have concerns sexual harassment claims. Our policy simply states "The Company forbids retaliation against anyone for reporting harassment, assisting in making a harassment complaint, or cooperating in a harassment investigation". Hopes this helps.
We have that in our harassment policy as well. The problem is that retaliation can occur from work related issues other than harassment. Several employment law conferences I have attended have stressed the need for such a policy separate from the harassment policy.

We have added "in good faith" to the bringing a charge. There are those weirdos out there who just want to cause trouble and you don't want to limit how you deal with them.
Sorry, I've tried to correct the spelling of weirdos twice and it won't change. I hate it when the type goes past the viewing area on the screen. It's hard to see what you actually typed.
