I am looking for a policy that deals with bomb threats in the work place. We have a policy on violence but I have been asked to add an additional policy that deals specifically with bomb threats.

I would suggest that you tie this into your policy regarding threats in general, and then break out a bullet point on bombs in particular. I would check with your local Police Department to see if they have some guidance on this, as this is clearly against the law. Different jursidictions may come into play if the threat is made by mail versus by phone, etc. Do your legal homework on this first, and then you can properly advise management on the course that you recommend for the policy.

I agree with Paul. Best to keep it simple. Otherwise you could wind up with a 20 pound handbook, with policies for bombs, angry spouses, false fire alarms, you name it...
