Osha's Ergonomics Program Standard

The question was raised by our CEO that in the title of Section 1910.900 Appendix B Summary of the oSHA Ergonocmnis Program Standard it says non-mandatory. What exactly does the "non-mandatory" mean?

That is a bit confusing, isn't it? Here's what it means. OSHA's ergonomics standard requires employers to give certain information to their employees. Appendix B is simply a form that OSHA has provided for employers to fulfill this obligation. It's mandatory that you PROVIDE the information, just not mandatory that you use OSHA's form to do so!
