Great one!
-
I agree it has potential to be a liability for the reason you noted as well as mine above. The real solution is to cut the paid lunch!
-
Sharon, We were once audited and had to pay back wages as b/c we did not account for people coming and going for their paid lunch. Hence, some were entitled to additional OT.
-
Cute. . and a bit too true
-
Clever, but raises the question. . What happens to old HR people?
-
Hi Tiffany, I am NO expert here and hope those who are will jump in, but here are my thoughts. 1) I would forget de minimus here. I just don't think it is applicable or appropriate 2) what are the employees restrictions that prohibit her from being…
-
It would certainly work for me. .
-
And I would make it very clear, going forward, that time not recorded is falsifying a document and that hours over 20 must be pre-approved and if not, will result in discipline.
-
Ditto the thanks for the update!
-
He did have some good stuff!
-
Never had it happen.
-
In my former life at a NFP we had a form, no policy that I recall. Maybe your attorney could help? Or a search?
-
I agree with Nae and would never share another thing with the Manager. Is that Manager the ee's supervisor?
-
Not much help here, but I would just pay close attention to the restrictions and follow your policy on accommodating not WC medical issues.
-
Excellent!
-
These could be the best yet! Thanks.
-
I think it is appropriate here Nevada. . .and scary. Would this even be legal?
-
Sorry, can't help b/c we don't do this. I will curious to see what others day and if they do this.
-
Mrona. . .you might want to research a more appropriate place to post this. . LOL.
-
LOL I would like to try a couple of these!
-
Some small companies just pay vs turning in so experience isn't effected? Beyond that to the question. . .depends on your policy. We pay the waiting period, but some places require ee to use sick/vacation time.
-
I agree with Nae. I am wondering if going forward you could add something to your beneficiary form like In the event the beneficiaries are minors, please note an adult who would be custodian.
-
Are you talking like computer skills?
-
Probably just me, but I am not understanding the question
-
Thank you all. You have helped sort this out in my head. David articulated what I did not not in terms of my take. I KNOW he is gone d/t a FMLA qualifying event. I also understand the logic regarding not being on the schedule so really not absen…
-
Thanks Nevada. .my dilema is that he won't be here, but he won't have to use any sick or vacation time as he covered his abscence with swaps. Bit confusing I know.
-
Ditto the others.
