From what I have seen in local news reports the job fairs in Portland are packed with people looking for work and not too many employers.

Robert Irvine is back on the Food Network now. Apparently lying gets you fired but doesn't prevent you from being rehired with the same show.

Our CEO and owner of the company makes less money than all of our employees. She has other means of income so her salary does not burden the company. You have to give her credit for that.

I am so busy doing everyone else's returns (family and business) that I had to file an extension for mine.
-
Our company is small and we chose paycuts. All agreed and this saved one employee's job. When our company gets back on track and the economy is better we plan to pay back the paycut amounts scattered over pay periods during the rest of the year.

What is bark? I don't know if I have seen that before and where would I get it?

Most of my paperback books have curled and wavy pages from reading in the bathtub and the book dropping in the water. (I doze off in the tub)

There's a (Slight) Chance I Might Be Going to Hell: A Novel of Sewer Pipes, Pageant Queens, and Big Trouble. Wow, I am going to have to read that book. It sounds like fun just by the title.

My husband's inurance pays 100% for both of us. He works for the state.

For some reason Hallmark won't let me register. It freezes up. I will keep trying.

Okay, now I am hungry for chicken.

Okay, I give up. What is a Chic Fil A? We must not have that around here.

We also pay 100% of employees insurance. Employee is responsible for family coverage premium.

I have one at home my mother used to make. She used "sour milk" which was vinegar and milk in the recipe. Now you could use sour cream. I will see if I can find it tonight. It is very good.

We have a couple of guys here that apparently have never heard of or seen an iron.

It is Spring Break in Oregon. Paul could be off with his kids.

The only thing different I had happen was last week Monster.com called to see if we had any job openings. I have never had them call me before.

We also made the 3rd page of posting.

I was born in the area so Portland streets don't seem too confusing but I know they do to people who are used to the one-way streets and streets that go nowhere.
-
Portland is definitely quirky. I don't see it as a depressing area and it is very friendly. We usually hit near your area in July for the Smoke at the Ocean in Lincoln City.
-
I am still here also.

So, were you the "sir or the madman"

That is the song we blast out when we have a fire drill evacuation test.

On the other hand when I was interviewing people for a nursing position years ago I had one applicant say she was qualifed because "she chopped tomatoes at Taco Bell".
