Did anyone else here that the LPGA is going to require tournament players to speak English? Seems like this one will be challenged...

Interesting...But I am not sure how they would challenge. Maybe in the mainstream media?
I don't think they are considered employees of the LPGA, but more like independent contractors/members. So I am not sure they have any right to challenge under employment law. If these were actual employees of the LPGA (event planners, etc), I could see where it would be an issue. But it is my understanding that they are not.
(sidenote....my son is a member of the South Texas PGA through their Little Linksters program and is by no means in their employ, although he is a member and has the right to play in their tournaments once he completes their requirements each year -- which is a 3 day clinic plus a registration fee)
This may not be as sinister as it appears. Looks like the LPGA is trying to get all players to speak English to avoid misunderstandings and to give all players an equal shot at promotional events, etc. which they could not do if they don't speak English. They are also giving players 2 years to comply.

Looks like I'm not the only one questioning this policy http://www.golf.com/golf/tours_news/article/0,28136,1836650,00.html
