Resignation Policy For Managers

Good afternoon everyone,

My CEO just asked me to create a policy for management indicating procedures when employees resign. Does anyone have a sample policy they can share? help:

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know why you would need a policy. .maybe a procedure with a check list? Not clear what he is looking for. .ie turn in keys, notify IT or what.

To me, it doesn't seem necessary to have an actual policy. Like sonny said, maybe just procedures with a checklist they could use to make sure they've covered all the bases when somebody leaves.

Here in HR we have our own checklist when somebody terminates, so maybe something similar for the managers would work.

We also have a detailed checklist that circulates to different departments (HR, IT, Security, etc.).

I agree... he basically wants me to have a step by step procedures for management because some managers tend to bypass HR.
