Pre-Employment Skills Testing

We want to assess an applicant's math skills during the IV process. Can I make up my own math test or does it have to be validated and proven to be a non-discriminatory test?

I wouldn't suggest making your own - we go through the American Banking Association for ours, and we test for Language Skills, Computation, Following Written Directions and Forms Checking. The ABA have their own non-discrimination testing so that's one less thing you would have to worry about.
