I read the HR News blog posting on the ARRA COBRA subsidy extension, and then read the comments. It occurs to me that whoever mounted this "comment on the blog" campaign thinks HR professionals are extremely influential in Washington DC.

At least frequent blog commenter Brittancus didn't jump in to weave one of his discombobulated and generally unrelated "e-verify will save the country" rants.

Has there been any kind of activity on the COBRA Stimulus extension? I have not heard or seen anyrthing. I have emoloyees on lay off that will be effected on November 30th, the end of the 9 month provision.

As of this post, there hasn't been any new activity on the COBRA subsidy extension bills. However, HRHero and HRLaws are keeping an eye on the legislation and will keep you informed if and when anything happens.
