Hey, you guessed right when you said training session. I'm a relatively new reporter editor here and am learning how to be a moderator. Gotta figure out those emoticons!
Welcome aboard. As you may have guessed by now we are just a bunch of hard working professionals. We have, always, been appreciative of the role the moderators take and cherish their opinions. We have, also, learned from our employees, how to suck up. xflash
Kathy, did your supervisor grin or snicker when she gave you this assignment? You are now about to moderate one of the rowdiest groups of people you have ever e-met. I'd tell you who to beware of, but I'll let you form your own opinions. As long as you remember that I'm the nice one, you'll be fine. x;-)
Soooooooooo, you're new here. Hmmmmmmm, all I can say is that you will earn your measly paycheck. But you will enjoy all the pain and suffering. Trust me. ;;)
When I was the new HR guy visiting all our plants, I learned very quickly that the people who run up to you to tell you how great and nice and accomodating to everyone they are should be watched very, very closely.
Kathy, I'm not demented (I don't think). I came over here to help. I've been trying to convince some of these guys to be more sensitive, but it's like putting your fingers in one of those Chinese straw tubes that you pull apart and it only gets tighter. You'll see.
