Peel 3 pounds green apples, core and slice. Put into full pot of water, add sugar and cinnamin as desired. Boil until apples are chunky soft. Stir while boiling. When chunky soft, take off heat and let cool for 30 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
We have an apple tree in the backyard that has an abundance of apples...so I have been busy on weekends making hot apple sauce.

I'm going to have to try this. One of my fondest childhood memories is the fresh, hot applesauce my Mom made with apples from our tree. She used a food grinder of some sort, so it wasn't chunky, but now that I'm older I don't care if it's chunky or "regular style."
