New grandchild

Yippee! I was off several days this week while my youngest (27) had her 3rd child. It's a GIRL!!!!! I took care of the other 2 (1 year and 3 years old) while she was in hospital. Can you say, "NO SLEEP?" x:D

Our oldest grandchild is a 16 year old girl. Since then we have had 6 boys. Finally we get another girl. I am ecstatic and eager to hit the baby department...as soon as I recover from realizing I have 8 grandchildren.

Congratulations! she is adorable!! My daughter gave birth tomy first grandchild in January, a boy whom I adore; however, I've already requested a granddaughter from her!

Hey Judy! I put my order in with my oldest daughter too. I'm still patiently waiting. She's not married yet at 24, so I guess I have to 'really' be patient. :-)

Congratulations, Nae, she is adorable! Do I read between the lines that she may get preferential treatment due to her sex placing her in minority status among the grandchildren?? It was also interesting to read the origin of the name as I’ve never seen that spelling before but then I also lead a sheltered life. How is it pronounced?

It is pronounced Keirsten. My daughter did not want anyone confusing it with Kristen or Kirsten and so chose this spelling. Her face was a picture when she realized people had no idea how to pronounce it.

CONGRATULATIONS! xclap I agree, you are NOT old enough for 8 grandkids. I'd certainly flunk a spelling test on your newest one's name.
