I knew he had had drug and alcohol 'problems' years ago and wondered if he was dead or homeless. Quite a talented guy. Used to love hearing him and Freddie Fender (a lovely Mexican name). Haven't seen Johnny since 1980.

Johnny Rodriguez was and is a great singer. He still comes through Albuquerque periodically and performs at the indian casinos.
