Did anyone see the American Music Awards last night? I saw some of it. Missed the Anna Nicole Smith part that everyone is talking about today. But, I still have a favorite moment. When Kobe Bryant came on stage to present; he got booed! Yahoo! They kept up the booing through out his presentation. xclap

Perhaps because Kobe is a scumbag for cheating on his wife while he was in Colorado. I thought it was in bad taste to have him as a presenter. There are others who are more worthy.

And I'm sure there was not ONE other person in that audience that had cheated on their spouse.

I'm sure there are others however, with all the controversy surrounding him right now I think they should have passed on Kobe.

And, let's see, after he was off the hook and safe he admitted that he did it! That perhaps she did not "perceive" the encounter the same way that he did!

I have a beautiful 21 year old daughter, so I am more than sensitive to these matters.

However, since the criminal charges were dropped by the plaintiff, I am not going to condone or gloat over a room full of "performers and friends" convicting him.

It certainly would not be the first time perceptions differed in these matters. Gee, you have a super tall, super handsome, super famous and super rich man paying attention to a star struck impressionable hotel desk clerk who escorts him and then lingers in his room and who has a history (supposedly) of craving male attention. Perhaps I have seen too many Hollywood movies -- I really don't know what happened in that room, and neither do you.

Now if I were Mrs. Kobe, I would be justified in booing and much more!

But, being star struck and craving attention does make her deserving of violent acts by Kobe. Supposedly he has thugs around him to do just that - weed out/filter out those type of people or predators. So what happened? If she was start struck, attention craving, (which all of her critics claim and therefore is obvious) how did she even get into a room alone with him? It doesn't compute.

I'm disappointed that I missed the previously-unreleased video of The Beatles. Would like to have seen that. Other than that, I didn't really pay any attention.

Nope. I don't watch any type of show like that which eminates from Hollywood. I've heard that Barbra Streisand and most of the other singers and a thousand or so actors have renounced their citizenship and left the country anyway, ergo Kobe being a presenter.

Fortunately (unfortunately now that I'm a little curious), I tuned in too late to catch her antics. Funny isn't it that Kobe embodies everything that Hollywood spews, yet he's boo'd for it. I boo'd him too, and practically every other freak show, oops I mean celebrity, that crossed the stage.

I didn't watch it, but it was on the news this morning and they played the audio of Anna Nicole. She was presenting an award and sounded like she was totally drunk, or stoned and was very attention-grabbing about her body and how beautiful she is. She wasn't allowed backstage for the press opp. and was quite the embarrassment. Hey, did she ever get much of her 91-year old late husband's billions?? It sounded funny, I wish I had seen it.

Sorry, I conscientiously avoid most "popular" shows. If the writing sucks, I will not watch it. That includes music, theater, movies, and any form of entertainment. The writing must be better than I can write. If I can guess the outcome, say the lines before they're spoken, doze off and not feel I've missed anything in the plot, then I avoid it. I agree with Natn.Guard, there's a big freak show going on.
