I'd stay home for a while and spend some time with my spouse and my Yorkies, get caught up on all my projects and then (sigh) probably look for another job that is not HR related.
In all seriousness, I would probably go work for Mcdonalds. Not because that is my dream but rather I have always been fascinated by their automated process and how they can maintain operations with a seemingly ridiculous turnover.
I think I could be in charge of fries by week one. Drive thru by week 2. Asst. Manager by the end of the month. Then, I quit.
File for unemployment, send out resumes, knock on doors, get drunk, call a friend, walk around in the back yard for a long time looking up and kicking pine cones, pour through some newspapers, email everybody in the personnel association, clean out my desk. Not necessarily in that order.
I think I would: start a clothing company, make editorial cartoons, write a novel, get into acting part time, and go on Survivor. All in that order. th-up
Spend time riding my horses, exploring new places. Teaching my 2yr old granddaughter to ride. Read and do my crafts. Drive my husband nuts with projects.
